Yes, I'm weird.  Or maybe a geek.  Possibly both.

I have thing for grammar, punctuation and spelling (although you may not be able to tell after reading through my site). In fact, it would not be unusual to find me reading The Chicago Manual of Style for entertainment purposes. I don't recall what triggered this fixation, but I do remember it began my freshman year of high school. I hated English class prior to that.

I don't profess to be able to employ my obsession, at least not proficiently, but it is my obsession nonetheless. I'm better at spotting others' transgressions than avoiding them in my own writing. Whether I'm out and about, reading a magazine, or watching TV, my eye is immediately drawn to spelling errors, bad grammar, and abuses of punctuation. While initially maddening, these infractions quickly become amusing and I enjoy taking pictures or screenshots of the violations. As photography is one of my other interests, I plan on putting those pictures on this site. If you share my obsession, we can all have a good laugh; if you don't, well then, you probably won't find them funny at all.
