Ah, Music!

I love music, and apparently I always have.  My mom says even as a child I had a general disregard for television programming but an activity-arresting affinity for theme songs or commercial jingles (or, these days, the contemporary music used in commercials). I totally believe that. Music is, and probably will always be, my life.

I like to play music as well, although I'm not really proficient on any one instrument.   Not that this is an excuse, but my small hands make playing some instruments rather difficult.  If I had to choose one that I was relatively good at, it would probably be the piano.  I can play just about anything you hand me:  reeds, keyboards, percussion, horns...but not strings.  However, I recently bought a guitar--a pearl-white Retro-H, small enough for my little hands (thank you, Daisy Rock!)--so I'll be giving strings a shot now.

I like a fairly broad range of music, everything from Mozart to Glenn Miller to Tool.  I don't like country music, though; I just can't get into that stuff.  I can appreciate jazz, funk, blues...but not country.  OK, probably not folk, either, but you get my drift.  I like a lot of different music.
